Les verbes pronominaux – Reflexive verbs

The pronominal verbs are also called as “Reflexive verbs” which is only used with a reflexive pronoun (“se” – oneself). They agree with the subject of the sentence. This reflexive pronoun always comes before the verb. The verb is conjugated normally.

The Reflexive Pronouns are:

Se promener To go for a walk
Se raser To shave
Se réveiller To wake up
S’appeler To be named
Se cacher To hide
Se demander To ask
Se trouver To be(located)
S’ennuyer To get bored
S’habiller To get dressed
Se lever To get up

Elle s’appelle sheeba. - (Her name is Sheeba.)
Aujourd’hui nous nous trouvons dans une situation curieuse. - (Today we find ourselves in a curious situation.)
Vous vous fâchez rapidement. - (You get angry soon.)
Les étudiants se réposent entièrement sur l’internet. - (The students completely rely on internet.)
Habituellement, les filles se réposent bien pendant le week-end. - (Habitually,the girls rest well during the week-end.)
