Passé recent – Recent Past

The recent past is a tense which is used to talk about the completed actions that happened shortly before the moment of speaking.

FORMATION:

Subject + venir de (conju. of verb venir in present tense) + infinitive verb

Je Viens de parler avec lui I just talked to him.
Tu Viens de manger une pomme You just ate an apple.

Vient de finir le devoir He just finished the homework.
Nous Venons d’écrire les letters We just wrote the letters.
Vous Venez d’acheter les vêtements You just bought the clothes.

Viennent de boire le jus They just drank the juice
